Golden Christmas Bell

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This privacy policy applies to Golden Christmas Bell (Goldene Weihnachtsglocke) on iPhone and iPad, including its Apple Watch app and iMessage stickers.

1. Data controller

2. About the app

You do not need an account. The app contains no advertising and no integrated advertising or analytics trackers. We do not operate a server to which the app sends your sound choices, timers, motion data or usage counters. The bell features do not require access to your contacts, location, camera or microphone.

3. Local features and settings

The app stores your selected sound, timer and ringing duration, and other settings on your device. Local data also includes counters for review and tip prompts and, where applicable, a purchase confirmation that has not yet been displayed. This information is used to provide and operate the app's features.

Shake mode processes device motion data to control the bell. This data is not stored persistently or sent to us.

If you allow notifications, the app schedules timer notifications locally on your device. No developer-operated push server is involved. You can change this permission in your device settings.

4. Apple Watch and iMessage stickers

For remote control, your iPhone and paired Apple Watch exchange commands, playback status and timer information. This information is not sent to a developer-operated server.

You choose when to send stickers through Apple's Messages app and who receives them. This does not give us access to your messages or recipient list. Apple's privacy notices apply to processing by its messaging and device services.

5. Purchases, reviews and Apple diagnostics

Apple handles the app purchase and optional tips. The app processes product and transaction status information through StoreKit for this purpose. Payment details such as your credit card number are not disclosed to us. Optional tips do not unlock additional features.

When the app asks for a review, it uses Apple's system review prompt. Apple's terms and privacy notices apply to submitting and publishing a review.

Depending on your device settings, Apple may provide us with shared crash reports and aggregated usage statistics. These help diagnose problems and improve the app. The app contains no analytics tracker of its own for this purpose. You can manage sharing in your device's Privacy & Security or Analytics & Improvements settings.

Apple processes data for its services as an independent controller. This may include processing outside the European Economic Area. Apple's privacy notices explain the responsible Apple entities, retention periods and safeguards.

6. Contact and support

If you email support@neuendorf.dev, we process your email address, your name if provided, the content of your message and any attachments you send. The purpose is to handle your request and any follow-up questions. Providing this information is voluntary; without information needed to respond, we may be unable to handle your request.

For our support communications, we exclusively use an email mailbox provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. IONOS provides the technical email infrastructure and processes the data necessary to operate the mailbox. Emails are not automatically forwarded to mailboxes with other email providers. Please send only information and attachments that are necessary for your request.

7. Legal bases

Where personal data is necessary to provide the app or handle contract-related requests, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We handle other support requests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is responding to enquiries. Where we use personal diagnostic data to investigate faults, our legitimate interest is maintaining and improving the app. Statutory retention obligations are based on Article 6(1)(c) GDPR. Where processing relies on your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR applies.

We do not carry out profiling or make decisions based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

8. Retention and deletion

Local settings generally remain on the relevant device until they are changed or the app is deleted together with its data. Offloading an app may preserve its data. Deleting the app does not remove previously sent messages or existing device backups. Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in iCloud or computer backups; we cannot access those backups.

Support correspondence and data we store for troubleshooting are deleted when they are no longer needed to handle the request, resolve follow-up questions or fix the issue. Statutory retention requirements and the need to establish, exercise or defend legal claims may prevent earlier deletion. Apple's own retention and deletion rules apply to data it processes independently.

9. Your rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. Where processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise your rights, contact support@neuendorf.dev. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, particularly in the place of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for the controller's location is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg, Germany.

10. Website and external links

When you read this policy on our website or open a website link from the app, the website's privacy notice also applies to that visit, particularly to hosting and technical access data. Other providers' privacy notices apply to their linked services. The legal information built into the app can be read without opening a website.
